WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A PRODUCT DEVELOPER FLAT KNIT AT MOST WANTED?

You are not intimidated by being responsible for the MW flat knit collection. On the contrary: as Product Developer Flat Knit, you are the one who translates the first sample into a high-quality final product. You are proactive, and developing on-trend flat knit items makes your heart beat faster. Having the final product in your hands is something that energizes you.

Your mission: you are the bridge between creativity and realization. You translate ideas from the design process into perfectly fitting, technically feasible, and high-quality flat knit products that suit Most Wanted and our customers.

HOW DO YOU DO THAT?

You prepare tech packs and provide clear specifications to suppliers.
You check, measure, and evaluate incoming samples and process comments after fittings.
You monitor product quality and perform inspections on incoming goods.
You maintain daily contact with producers and suppliers about progress, delivery times, and quality.
You negotiate with suppliers and make price agreements.
You plan and track sample deliveries, mock-ups, lab dips, trimmings, and test results.
You analyze and process wash and wear tests and oversee test reports and certificates.
You select materials with an eye for trend, quality, and budget.
You work with sales figures, return data, and performance per size to translate insights into improvements in collection development and inventory optimization.
You regularly visit suppliers domestically and abroad to ensure good collaboration and gain inspiration.
You have specific knowledge of flat knit constructions, yarns, stitches, fits, and finishes and know how to translate this knowledge into a commercially strong and high-quality final product.

Specific knowledge of flat knit product development, yarns, stitches, constructions, and finishes
Creative and analytical thinking
Strong communication skills, both internal and external
Good negotiation skills
Commercial insight and a structured work approach
Solution-oriented and decisive
Good at planning, organizing, and meeting deadlines
Technically skilled with knowledge of fit, materials, and production techniques
You are naturally up to date with the latest fashion trends and can respond quickly

EXPERIENCE

Completed higher professional education in Fashion/Product Development or equivalent
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within fashion
Proven and relevant experience within the flat knit product group
Experience working with tech packs and managing sample processes
Proven experience with flat knit suppliers in Asia and knowledge of the associated production processes
Existing connections within a relevant supplier network for flat knit are a plus
Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
